Timor Leste, East Timor - day 1

My first time visiting East Timor or Timor-Leste, officially the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste, once was part of Indonesia's 27th province and was internationally recognized as an independent nation on 20 May 2002. I went there with my sister in law's sister, Christine and also her aunt (we call her Kucu Ratna), and here's the coverage of our trip 。(⌒∇⌒。)

Timor Leste 2013/09/23

Going in to Timor Leste as we passed through the Atambua checkpoint - Indonesian customs, immigration and quarantine post at Mota'ain by car.

The kid that carried our luggage asked for 1$ at first, Itin gave him 3$ in the end and he asked for another 1$ ≖‿≖

We accidentally met the off-road champions that just got back from Timor Leste going into Atambua, as we were about to cross the border

Taking picture with the champion and the trophy
“ψ(`∇´)ψ

They said the the event is held every once a year

and we left our luggage on the road just like that
